No one is immune to financial scams whether they are via the mail, the phone or email. Financial scams are getting very sophisticated says Paul Hoffmann. He warns people not to give out any account numbers, their social security numbers, or any other identifying information over the phone. Bankers encourage customers who receive letters in the mail or emails to bring them to the bank to make sure they are legitimate.
