HOW THE MADISON COMMUNITY FOUNDATION HELPS SHAPE OUR COMMUNITY

Guest:  Bob Sorge, President, Madison Community Foundation

The Madison Community Foundation is one of the oldest in the country, established in 1942, and the MCF intends to be here forever making a positive difference in the community.  So assures Bob Sorge who has just completed his first year as president of the Madison Community Foundation.

On this program, Bob Sorge describes how the MCF is building on the past and thoughtfully awarding new grants to meet contemporary needs that have arisen in our ever-changing society.  Clean lakes, autism, and music education are just some of the new and diverse initiatives.

Moving into the next era, the Madison Community Foundation invites the public to hear Dan Rather share stories from his career and his views on community and philanthropy at their Annual Meeting - a dinner on Tuesday, June 24 at Monona Terrace.   For event information, go to www.madisoncommunityfoundation.org, or call 608-232-1763.
