HONORING CHOICES WISCONSIN: IMPROVING THE CONVERSATION

Guests:  Tim Bartholow, MD, Chief Medical Officer and John Maycroft, Director of Policy Development & Initiatives and Project Lead, Honoring Choices Wisconsin, Wisconsin Medical Society

Taking charge of the health care you wish to have, particularly in life-threatening situations, and having your choices honored by those who care for you is the subject of this program.

"It's all about the conversation," says Dr. Tim Bartholow, Chief Medical Officer of the Wisconsin Medical Society.  As an example, Dr. Bartholow and John Maycroft go through a hypothetical conversation that might occur as people begin conversations with family members and medical providers regarding what is important to them.

For more information on Honoring Choices and facilitating advance care planning discussions, contact John Maycroft at 608-442-3766 or john.maycroft@wismed.org.
